This is my last weekend of my 50's. I haven't really been thinking that much about it until a few of my friends shared how "significant" it was to be OUT OF YOUR 50's! I guess 59 does sound exponentially better than 60 in terms of age, but I have decided to embrace it!
My life at 60 is full! Full of all the things that I want...my grandchildren, my work, my wonderful husband, great family and fabulous girlfriends.
My family knows I am the "chronicler" of our lives, the photographer, the book creator, the picture presentation developer. I like collecting memories of times, places and remembering what were were doing and what it felt like. So I have decided to do some chronicling of by own life.
Never a journal writer, I started a journal about 20 years ago when my dad died and I wish I would have continued that practice. I was feeling such strong feelings during that time of change in our family that I just had to write....I am sort of feeling that again. Technology guru? that I am, I will do this online.
What's up this weekend? Just celebrated my son-in -law John's 33rd birthday at a sushi restaurant. Today breakfast with the girls and then cards with our old friends the Glihas. Sunday Bill and I are embarking on a new project in the basement to clear out the old and streamline the storage.....again!
